One of the newest types of e-cigarettes that are starting to become very popular are open pod system e-cigarettes. These can be recognized by their very small design and only use 2 parts. The battery and the pod where the pod uses a built-in coil and a mouthpiece. These e-cigarettes are very popular because they are easy to use and convenient to carry. The user can also choose which e-liquid he wants to use.

Refillable pod system

These open pod systems are basically the same compared to a pre-filled pod system, however the main difference is that with this e-cigarette you can add your own e-liquid.
This can be done by opening a tab at the bottom of the pod. The resistance of these devices has to be taken into account. These are often higher than 1.0 Ohm and it's advised to use a high pg ratio, and not lower than 50 PG.

Coils

These e-cigarettes are so easy to use because of the built-in coils so you don't have to bother to take them out and replace them yourself. You simply take out the entire mouthpiece and replace it with a new one and you will be ready to vape again.
These pods are however in need of replacement after about 2 to 3 weeks of use. This may depend on the use of the e-cigarette.

Battery

Because these e-cigarettes use a small size, these e-cigarettes don't have a giant battery but are generally a bit smaller than the usual batteries. However, this allows the battery to be charged very quickly via a USB cable when it is almost empty and you can use your e-cigarette again in no time.

Nic salt

Pod system are ideal to combine with e-liquids that use nic salt. This is a kind of nicotine that is absorbed faster in the blood. This e-liquid is ideal because less pulling is needed to get the necessary nicotine. This results in less e-liquid use and a longer battery duration.
